About the project and your area of responsibility

The HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform develops concrete ways for a systematic decentralized reception and integration of refugees in the EU and shows that this can contribute positively to the development of host communities. Through a participation initiative at local level combined with an investment initiative at European level, the aim is to strengthen the capacities of local authorities and to shape the reception and integration of refugees for the benefit of all – new arrivals and long-established residents. In addition, there is close cooperation with other European civil society actors, such as the campaign ‘From the Sea to the City’, which advocates a human rights-based EU refugee policy where the welcome of the communities is central. We are looking for a committed communications manager who is able to identify with the goals and values of the project and is motivated to strengthen our public relations work, as well as develop a communications strategy together with a dedicated team.

Project Coordinator (f/m/d) for Climate Transparency

The HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform is a not-for-profit, limited liability company, based in Berlin, Germany. We promote democratic processes and thought-through governance strategies in Germany, Europe and worldwide ( The HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA is hosting the International Secretariat of Climate Transparency, in collaboration with Climate Analytics.

Climate Transparency’s major goal is to enhance the knowledge of key actors on G20 climate performance and thus their readiness to push for more ambitious climate action in G20 countries with a particular focus on Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico and South Africa. Activities include the production of the Climate Transparency Report, sectoral policy papers and other knowledge products, conduct targeted outreach in the form of workshops and media work. The partnership is financed through the International Climate Initiative (IKI), ClimateWorks Foundation, the German Federal Foreign Office, European Climate Foundation (ECF), and the World Bank.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced project coordinator (f/m/d) to strengthen our Climate Transparency team. The main responsibility will be to co-coordinate the continuous innovation and production of the annual Climate Transparency Report with co-secretariat Climate Analytics (HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA leads the production of the summary report and Climate Analytics the country profiles). This involves substantial content work and project management tasks in close cooperation with the existing project team as well as our 14(+) partner organizations in G20 countries.
