“How do we want to live?” – This was the title of the digital open space for the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s alumni association on the 6th of September 2020. The motto says it all: The open space format offers an open exchange, which collects experiences, concerns and expertise of the participants and enables them to move to where they can learn or contribute – the result: open.

At the annual meeting of the alumni association, the participants from three different continents demonstrated that this also works in the digital space. During the three-hour format, the participants came together on a virtual marketplace to discuss the compatibility of work and living, “escape from the city”, life in the country, alternative building or rental models.
