Berlin, January 17, 2020. It has been almost a year since the “Growth, Structural Change and Employment” commission agreed in a marathon meeting to phase out coal by 2038 at the latest. This is an important decision for climate protection. But the practical implementation is still to come. The HUMBOLDT–VIADRINA Governance Platform brought various actors from politics and administration, companies, civil society and science together in the Allianz Forum in Berlin, in particular to discuss questions of participation in structural change in Lusatia.
