Report of our Trialog “Urban Mobility: A new traffic system for Berlin?”

The first Trialog of the project New Urban Agenda Berlin, which we promoted together with the Technical University Berlin, dealt with the question how a new traffic system in Berlin should look like. Participants of science, politics and administration, the private sector and civil society organizations have talked about crucial challenges and the room of manouever during this one-day event.

Which strategies are necessary for a new traffic system in Berlin? How can we connect environmental friendly traffic modes on a digital basis? Which incentives can help to stimulate new mobility patterns of the urban society? Those and other questions have been discussed among more than 60 participants of our Trialog „Urban Mobility: A new traffic system for Berlin?“ on 25th of June 2018.

We record our Trialogs and analyse them with a qualitative method of social sciences. As a result, we are able to launch our detailed report today. It contains perspectives and their reasons of all participants of the Trialog and shows their connections. As part of our project New Urban Agenda Berlin which we proceed together with the Technical University Berlin we use this interface between science and urban society to initiate further transdisciplinary projects.
