Daphne Büllesbach has been Managing Director of the Berlin Governance Platform since February 2020.

Previously, she headed the Europe-wide civil society organisation European Alternatives for several years, which researches and promotes transnational politics and culture. Among other things, she was curator of the political and art festival Transeuropa Festival (Palermo 2019, Madrid 2017, Belgrade 2015) and founded the School of Transnational Activism.

She also works in other contexts at the interface of science, politics and advocacy on structures for a resilient democracy that grows with the challenges of socio-ecological transformation. To this end, she also appears in public or writes and speaks on the radio and at conferences (International Literature Festival Berlin, re:publica, phoenix, DLF). In 2017, she co-edited the book: Shifting Baselines of Europe published by transcript Verlag

She studied European Studies and Social and Political Sciences at King's College London, Sciences-Po Paris and the University of Cambridge.
