The final report summarises the results of the discussion on the non-energy benefits of energy-efficient building refurbishment. It identifies the basic consensus of the discussion and provides recommendations for action in order to prioritise the additional benefits when making investment decisions.

The background to this is a 15-month project series entitled "Additional benefits as a driver of energy-efficient building refurbishment" in which stakeholders from politics and administration, business, organised civil society, science and the media exchanged views.

The project was realised jointly by the Berlin Governance Platform and the Buildings Performance Institute Europe and funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation.
