This report presents the trialogue discussion on the sixth trialogue in cooperation with the project "Energy Systems of the Future" (ESYS), which took place on 13 July 2017 and dealt with the topic of "The governance of the European Energy Union - between national energy strategies and the Paris climate targets". The participants discussed whether the governance system proposed by the European Commission in the winter package is appropriate and effective for achieving the European Union's energy and climate targets.
