Daphne Büllesbach

Daphne Büllesbach ist für die Berlin Governance Platform als freie Beraterin für den Trialog Prozess zur Erbschaftssteuer tätig. Sie ist zudem im Fachbeirat Municipal Development Councils active.

Daphne leitet seit Herbst 2025 den Aufbau der Initiative Demokratische Wissenschaft (WissDem) zur Förderung von demokratischer Resilienz des Hochschul- und Wissenschaftssektors in Deutschland. Sie war von 2020 bis 2025 Geschäftsführerin der Berlin Governance Platform. Zuvor leitete sie die europaweit aktive zivilgesellschaftliche Organisation European Alternativeswhich researches and promotes transnational politics and culture. Among other things, she was curator of the politics and art festival Transeuropa Festival (Palermo 2019, Madrid 2017, Belgrade 2015) and founded the School of Transnational Organising.

She also works in other contexts at the interface of science, politics and advocacy on structures for a resilient democracy that grows with the challenges of socio-ecological transformation. To this end, she also appears in public or writes and speaks on the radio and at conferences (International Literature Festival Berlin, re:publica, phoenix, DLF). In 2017, she co-edited the book Shifting Baselines of Europe at the transcript publishing house.

She studied European Studies and Social and Political Sciences at King's College London, Sciences-Po Paris and the University of Cambridge.
