On June 6, 2023, our expert jury selected four municipalities for the new project cycle 2023 - 2025. Until April 2025, the Berlin Governance Platform will support the cities of Cottbus, Duisburg, Frankfurt (Oder) and the joint municipality of Meinersen in establishing the new participation approach "Municipal Development Advisory Board" on site.
Hoyerswerda is a partner municipality in the model project Municipal Development Advisory Councils. Since January 2023, around 30 voluntary advisory councils in Hoyerswerda have been working on an overall concept for the Green Belt.
The Kalletal Community Development Advisory Board (KEB) has now met for the first of four sessions at the Kalldorf village community center. The focus of the discussions is health care in the community.
Between May 2022 and October 2023, the model project will accompany and support the five selected partner municipalities in the establishment and implementation of a municipal development advisory council. In this participation format, representatives from politics/administration, civil society and business will jointly discuss a topic relevant to the future and develop concrete recommendations for action for local decision-making bodies.
From now on, municipalities with up to 50,000 inhabitants can apply to participate in the model project Municipal Development Advisory Councils. Between May 2022 and October 2023, the pilot project will support four partner municipalities in setting up a municipal development advisory council.
