Anja Mihr, Director of the Center on Governance through Human Rights, is happy to introduce her new book „Glocal Governance – How to govern in the Anthropocene“. It describes the evolution of the term as well as the current state of art and a possible future system of Glocal Governance. In this book Anja proposes a complementary form of governance that can enhance democracy at all levels of policymaking. She also describes how this approach can circumvent dysfunctional practices and performance of authoritarian regimes. The publication follows the Center’s ongoing work on glocalism and glocal governance, that emphasizes a strong link between human rights and governance. It is an open access publication and is available for free download on the Springer Briefs in Political Science website.
