Tara Ella Grimm worked in the division from 2023 to 2025. Democracy of the Berlin Governance Platform - initially as project coordinator with responsibility for strategic communication and public relations for the programme area, later as project manager for Municipal Development Councils. She worked with local authorities on accompanying formats for public participation and on the comprehensible communication of complex participation processes for different target groups.
Before joining the Berlin Governance Platform, she worked as a political communications officer focussing on participation in the education sector. As a freelance consultant, she also supported civil society organisations in bringing their concerns to the public through clear communication and targeted advocacy strategies.
Tara studied Development Studies and International Relations at Sussex in England. She later completed an MA in Public Policy as part of an Erasmus Mundus programme in The Hague and Barcelona.
