Mariana Gutiérrez Grados has been working as a project coordinator at Climate Transparency since January 2021.

She holds a degree in International Relations from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus (ITESM, CCM) and a Master's degree in Environmental Law and Public Policy from the Centro de Investigación y Aprendizaje del Medio Ambiente. Since 2010, Mariana has focused her professional development on environmental and climate policy analysis and has worked with various Mexican civil society organisations, including the Mario Molina Centre for Strategic Studies on Energy and the Environment (CMM) and the Iniciativa Climática de México (ICM).

In addition to her current role as project coordinator at the HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform, she leads processes with stakeholders at ICM, the Mexican partner organisation Climate Transparencys, to increase climate policy ambition.
