Biography

Gayatri Shejwal is Research & Data Specialist for the Re:Match project at the Berlin Governance Platform. She is responsible for the project's data strategy and combines labour market research, data collection and analysis as well as monitoring and evaluation in order to gain insights for a fair and transparent matching process.

She holds a Masters in Data Science for Public Policy from the Hertie School and an MITx MicroMasters Certificate in Data, Economics, and Development Policy as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune.

Previously, Gayatri worked in migration and political behavioural research at the Social Science Research Centre Berlin (WZB), worked in the field of international scientific cooperation at the German Embassy in New Delhi and advised the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) on skills development and employment issues. Her work combines quantitative research, evidence-based policy and intercultural co-operation with stakeholders in Germany and India.
