Julia Kaesemann

Julia Kaesemann is project manager for Municipal Development Councils at the Berlin Governance Platform. Together with Tara Ella Grimm and Marla Binhack It currently supports municipalities in advancing their individual heating plans participatively, thereby taking an important step towards climate neutrality.

Julia studied Philosophy, Literature, Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Charles University Prague and the University of Basel. In addition, she has been intensively involved in projects in the field of political education and democracy promotion for many years. As a specialist in international youth work, a trained change manager and coach, Julia is interested in innovative formats that bring people together and move them forward collectively. 

Before joining the Berlin Governance Platform, Julia worked as a Communications Manager, Project Lead, and Consultant for PHINEO gAG, a non-profit consultancy and analysis firm in Berlin. In this role, she published on interdisciplinary topics such as Collective Impact and Corporate Citizenship. She also organised events and workshops and advised civil society actors on impact orientation.
