Building on international experience, the Berlin Governance Platform would like to develop a algorithm-supported matching mechanism for the relocation of people seeking protection from Ukraine to Germany and thus offer a solution to the challenges in the reception and (European) redistribution of refugees from Ukraine.
For the 14-month pilot project Re:Match In close cooperation with German city administrations, international matching experts and Polish partner organisations, a matching procedure is to be developed in a first step, which will then be used in a second step to place refugees from Ukraine who are currently in Poland in German municipalities willing to accept them by means of algorithm-supported matching.
