With Re:Match, the relocation of protection seekers within the EU was implemented for the first time using algorithm-based matching. In the first year of the project in 2023, 78 Ukrainian asylum seekers in Poland were matched and relocated directly with six German municipalities. Parallel to the implementation of a second project phase with 59 Ukrainian protection seekers and 7 German municipalities in 2024, a follow-up evaluation was carried out with the protection seekers relocated in 2023. Based on these surveys, the evaluation report published here presents promising results on the initial integration steps of the participants.
The follow-up evaluation of Re:Match is being carried out in collaboration with the project partner Pairity. All results in this report are based on data from participants collected through questionnaires and interviews.
The Interim Evaluation Report on the Re:Match pilot phase which was published in January 2024 is available here. Another Report with promising findings and recommendations for decision-makers from politics, municipalities and civil society, you can download here .
