The Berlin Governance Platform, in cooperation with the Mobility Working Group of the Science Platform Sustainability 2030, conducted the trialogue "Sustainably on the Move – Making Mobility Attractive Now".
The Mobility WG of the Science Platform Sustainability 2030 addresses the challenges of the transformation of transport: Mobility plays a central role in societies worldwide: as a basic human need, for the exchange of goods, but also as an expression of quality of life. The downside: In sum, human mobility gobbles up finite resources on a massive scale, and its emissions pollute the climate, air quality and health. The goals agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement and Agenda 2030 require rapid and comprehensive action, especially in the transport sector.
The WG discussed this with stakeholders from politics & administration, business, organized civil society, academia and the media at the Trialog on June 19, 2019.
