Julia Kaesemann manages together with Tara Ella Grimm the project of the Municipal development councils on the Berlin Governance Platform. It supports local authorities in advancing their individual heat planning and thus taking an important step towards sustainability.
She previously headed a project until 2024 on the topic of Housing for refugees in Berlin at the Berlin Governance Platform. As part of this, she analysed the status quo in the area of accommodation and transition to the private housing market (Berliner Stimmen - On housing for refugees in the capital).
Julia studied philosophy, literature, cultural anthropology and European ethnology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, the Charles University in Prague and the University of Basel. She has also been intensively involved in projects in the field of political education and the promotion of democracy for many years.
She previously worked as a communications manager, project manager and consultant for PHINEO gAG, a non-profit consultancy and analysis company in Berlin. In this role, she published on interdisciplinary topics such as collective impact and corporate citizenship. In addition, she organised events and workshops and advised civil society actors in the field of impact orientation.
