Research atlas "Social cohesion"

The research atlas"Social cohesion" visualises the current research activities on the topic of social cohesion in the Berlin research area. The project was developed as part of the focus area Fostering Knowledge Exchange of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA). The BUA's research activities therefore play a central role in the Research Atlas. It also takes up the research needs expressed by society in the subject area. This allows current research priorities, social issues and new interfaces to be identified. Possible research needs also become visible.

The Research Atlas aims to contribute to a better understanding of the Berlin research area on social cohesion. Social cohesion is part of diverse and lively debates - this also explains the broad range of topics and the various aspects in which social cohesion can be considered and which the research atlas visualises. This makes it possible to see where the focus of university and non-university research on social cohesion lies in Berlin and what research needs are being formulated by society and academia.

The research atlas is part of the Grand Challenge Forum Social Cohesionwhich accompanies the BUA's first Grand Challenge initiative. The Berlin Governance Platform was commissioned by the BUA with the technical and content-related realisation of the research atlas.
