Kalletal is a municipality in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia and has around 13,000 inhabitants. Kalletal has been a Fairtrade municipality since 2020 and has already successfully implemented several participation processes.
In 2022-2023, Kalletal was a partner municipality in the pilot project "Municipal development councils - shaping the future together locally" funded by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb).
The task of the Municipal Development Advisory Board in Kalletal 2023 was to draw up a recommendation on how healthcare provision in Kalletal can be improved and secured for the future. Both objectives and concrete proposals for measures were developed.
